Graduated in Archaeology by the Universidade de Évora in 2008 and currently undertaking the master’s degree at the same University, has training in Heritage virtualization at the Universidad de Burgos and specialized in Virtual Heritage and Historical Illustration at the Universidad de Alicante in 2017 and 2019. CEO of the company Cromeleque since 2010 to 2019, he became coordinator of Morbase in 2014, a Public Archaeology project for the valorisation of Historical Heritage of the Municipality of Montemor-o-Novo. This project was distinguished within the scope of Best Practices in the Public Service by the Rede Comum de Conhecimento and received, in 2018, an honourable mention for Best Communication Technology by the Regional Tourism Authority of Alentejo and Ribatejo. Morbase was also at the origin of the Virtual Archaeology Symposium, an Iberian non-profit initiative to enhance heritage through virtualization.
In terms of heritage virtualization, he has been a part of several distinguished projects and teams such as: the virtual reconstruction of the Montemor-o-Novo intramural village in 1534; the project of the Virtual Museum of Morbase; the virtual reconstruction of the Roman villa of Horta da Torre, in Fronteira; the virtual reconstruction of the Bobadela Roman amphitheatre for the documentary Splendidissima Civitas, the virtual reconstruction of the Santos Mattos Corset Factory, in Amadora; the development of the Medieval Society films for the Centro de Interpretação do Românico, in Lousada; the video mapping video for the Centro de Interpretação da Escultura do Românico, in Abragão; and the virtual reconstruction of the roman villa of Santiago da Guarda; the roman villa of Rio Maior;
In 2020 he collaborated, as a heritage research scientist, with Global Digital Heritage in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, in the digitalization of heritage and in virtually reconstructing three different heritage sites: the Al Midfa Mosque; the Mleiha Fort; and the Mleiha Tomb.
Since 2020, has functions as an external teacher at the master’s degree in Patrimonio Virtual at the Universidad de Alicante.
He has published several scientific articles in collaboration with other authors such as: Maratona de arqueologia virtual no Castro de Monte Mozinho (Penafiel, Portugal); Paço dos Alcaides - A Virtual Reconstruction Proposal; Santo André do Outeiro Hermitage Church: An example of Virtual Archaeology to promote public Archaeology; or the The Old Parish Church of Montemor-o-Novo in the 16th Century – a Manuelino Example and its Virtual Reconstruction.
